With 20 years as a welder under my belt, you can ask me anything about boilermakers. But what flies under the radar is my decades of experience and knowledge about work boots. I’ve learned the hard way what makes a boot hold up, what protects my feet, and what’s comfortable.

The comfort part is key, because there’s no such thing as resting in this industry. These boots are my foundation all day, every day.  I’ve found the most comfortable boots on the market, and it’s BRUNT Workwear boots

The comfort is unmatched

A welder’s workweek is 60 hours minimum. So I was relieved when my Marin Comp Toes came out of the box already broken-in. The insoles have triple-layer cushioning with great arch support, and when worn one long day after the next, I had zero foot fatigue. The same can’t be said for every boot out there.

Another comfort factor is how breathable and flexible the boots are. My Marins check those boxes too, keeping my feet from getting too sweaty and uncomfortable.

The performance is top-tier

To hype up my Marins a little more, they’re finished with waterproofing, slip and oil resistance, and heat-resistant outsoles up to 572˚F, which is huge in my field. They’re electrical hazard-rated, and their composite toe is super lightweight.

But the Marin isn’t the only boot that can handle my work —the Bolduc Boot is my backup pair, and my pipefitter buddy raves about the Ryng Boot. The ASTM F2413-18 Standards are met by every single BRUNT boot, giving you the protection from impact, compression, and puncture resistance you need.

The versatility adds mileage

I’m not a man who cares much about fashion, but I appreciate that my BRUNT boots have a traditional workboot look. My grandfather was also a welder, and his iconic work boots were a very similar style.

I actually keep a pair of Ohman Comp Toes in my truck as a backup, stylish pair of boots. Their easy, slip-on style make them my go to everyday boot when I’m off the clock. I even wear the Ohmans on dates with my wife or out on the town because they look so nice.

It’s BRUNT or nothing for me

Look, if you’re in the welding industry, construction, or another trade that has you on your feet in tough conditions for that long workweek, there’s no other boot brand you should consider. Plus, they’re super affordable, with their boots starting as low as $119.99.

BRUNT has all the bases covered from comfort you won’t find anywhere else to that non-negotiable protection. Go to BRUNT now, and find the boot that feels right for your trade. You won’t regret it.
